Practicalities and Other Information
Sessions
Once initial contact has been made a non-binding preliminary session is set up to briefly discuss the reason(s) you are seeking therapy at this time as well as the possibility of pursuing therapy with me. The preliminary intake session lasting approx. 30 mins does not hold you to anything. There is no commitment from either side to work beyond this first meeting if, for whatever reason, it doesn't seem like the right 'fit'.
If after this first meeting you decide to pursue therapy with me, all sessions are conducted in-person in a private room at the Lilicentre, Luzerne or in Zug at a rented space or alternatively online via a secure platform.
Sessions are conducted in English and normally last 60 minutes.
Code of Ethics
Everything discussed in session remains confidential. I am bound by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics to keep all parties safe and protected.
Costs
Once you decide to proceed with therapy, besides a singular charge of CHF 75.– being made for the preliminary intake session, a 60 mins in-person/online session costs CHF 150.–. On request, sessions can also last 90 mins. A sliding scale is also available for clients with limited financial means.
It is important to mention from the outset that due to my training coming from outside Switzerland therapy is very rarely covered by Swiss health insurance. It is however possible that European or international insurances often approve reimbursement but please do always check first with your non-Swiss health provider.
Invoicing
Invoices are sent via email as a pdf at the end of the month with all sessions listed for that month, with the customary 30 days allowed for payment via QR bank transfer.
Cancellations
Should you for whatever reason need to cancel a scheduled session, it would be really appreciated if you could give me at least 24 hours’ notice. Please note that the normal fee may be charged if a session is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled session.
